Editorial: Object Anthologies

From 2011 to 2018, Damm was editor-in-chief of A Bad Penny Review and Opo Books & Objects.

Alongside their other publications, ABPR and Opo released a conceptual, object-based anthology annually—conceived, edited, and “made” by Damm and featuring many of the most innovative writers and artists working today. The following is a selection of those works.

PREVIEW (for a future catalog)

Inspired by George Maciunas’ legendary Fluxus publication Preview Review, Opo asked a select group of writers to propose future publication projects for the press. There was, however, one caveat: the projects needed to be unfeasible, if not all together impossible. The proposals themselves, in the form of a set of advertising brochures, would become the only published work.

Dispatches From Abandoned Architecture

In 2013, Opo sent the following letter (slightly redacted) and an antique postcard to a select group of writers and artists:

The returned cards were then digitized and printed as limited edition boxed set.
